Sherri & Edward's wedding took place at the gorgeous Milestone Mansion in Denton. They had tied the knot a year before, but the family wanted to be part of the celebration so a formal wedding was put on the books. Sherri was amazing to work with since our first conversation, and we knew that this wedding was going to go wonderfully. From the time they decided to have a formal wedding to the time the wedding came around Sherri & Edward decided to have a little one to add to the family, adding another reason to have a celebration. The ladies got ready downstairs in the bridal suit, while the gentleman relaxed in the awesome groom's quarters. The details of the wedding highlighted elegance and simplicity. They walked down the aisle to live guitar playing, said their I dos, and took time to get pictures together and with the family. Live music and the DJ attracted the group out on the dance floor, and they shared one of the sweetest first dances. For the wedding cake they decided to add a twist and do a gender reveal for their upcoming little one. Everyone got to grab a cupcake, and at the same time take a bite to reveal they would be having a little girl! After some more dancing and spending time with family, they completed the night with a sparkler exit. We hope the very best for this sweet family.
I had the pleasure of meeting this awesome bride and groom months before the wedding, and I knew since then it was going to be great. Melissa, the bride, is a nurse and her groom, Kevin, is a local firefighter. They are such an awesome down to earth couple and are wonderful to work with. Their gorgeous wedding took place at THE SPRINGS in Aubrey, TX right outside of Denton. The venue is beautiful inside and out, and the team their does are great to work with. I had the chance to take pictures with the bride and bridesmaids in the bridal suite while Travis got to take some around the venue and with the guys. All the girls got matching robes and stemless campaign glasses, while the guys went the whiskey route.
When it was time for the ceremony everything went perfect as they got married under an arch they had put together of fresh flowers. Following the ceremony the guest went inside for cocktail hour while we got some shots of family, bridal party, and them of course. It was warm outside (imagine that in Texas) so we felt bad keeping the bride and groom outside too long in the heat, but we love the pictures they gave us from that time. The reception was decorated in gold, burlap, and pinks with custom touches everywhere. The DJ was able to keep the everyone on the dance floor most the night, and the night was wrapped up with a glow stick exit.
